I have been close to the St Kilda Triangle Saga for the last 5 years but due to being employed at The Palace Entertainment Complex for the last 20 years i have had to stay out of this storm that is now erupting.
All i want to say is thank you David Carruther's for bringing this issue to the forefront, as from day 1 Council has never been transparent on the Triangle Development.
I sat in community forums that really were just council lip service as they did not listen to anyone in those forums they just did them because they had too.
This is how this process works , Government Guides the CEO and the CEO guides the Council , Government do it this way as the Council and CEO are despensible, "Send the Lambs to the Slaughter"
And that is what will happen,believe me the whole process is being run at the highest level of the Government and don't believe them when the Deputy Premier says " The Triangle is low on our list of priorities"
The Government have spent millions trying to evict the Palais and Palace tennants now they are in for another fight with Fox, more of our money being waisted. The amount of money spent so far on both sides would of renovated half of the Palais by now.
Dump the tender process now,lets go back to the drawing board and create a fair and balanced process and lets lobby the State Government to put money into the Triangle so it is not reliant on having to meet the bottom line if developed privately.
